Cascading Borealis Pack
Literate Canine Wolf RP

Far from the closest human city, there are distant lights that are sprawled across the northern sky. These colored lights have been stuck in the sky for as long as time can tell. Every single night, the lights are found dancing until the sun shows itself every morning. The dancing lights change colors every now and then, and when they do, a new strand of color takes over to tell a story of life to those who watch. These stories are what shapes the Wood Buffalo National Park, and where our story begins
-Mara

Cascading Borealis Pack, or CBP, was originally created by Mara and Riley. We had in mind a succesful community, where you guys can have a good time and not only role play, but have a very close knit pack. The pack role play is located in Wood Buffalo National Park, which is mainly in Alberta, Canada but also stretches into the Northwest Territories. We allow members to be various types of wild candids, so your not restricted to role-playing a wolf here. We hope you consider joining, we'd be glad to have you ^^

Rules
Yes, we have rules; just a few so don't worry. Please read them, and follow them. It'd be helpful to read them before joining, all of them.

Be respectful. Don't go around being mean or harsh to any other members, they don't come here to be bothered and annoyed by a disrespectful person. Go about your business peacefully, be kind and respectful.
Language. We do NOT prohibit cursing on our forum. If you are constantly using vulger and inappropriate language it won't be tolerated. Using foul language against anyone, in the clan or not, will be met with punishment as well.
Secret word is "Red Fox" Subject to change, so be careful.
SPAM. We don't like SPAM on our forums, and we ask you help us in preventing it. Don't post with less than three words, or any off topic or uneeded information. We also ask that you don't double post.
You must gain 10 posts after you join before you get your rank. This is to be sure everyone is going to stay active.
Fun. You come here to enjoy yourself and have a decent time, so please do so. The Clan Leaders don't want livers, spleens or other organs for dinner now, so you better have a good time here. =P
On a side note, we allow various types of canines in our role-play

Until problems arise, which we hope none will, this is all we ask of you. If needed we will add more rules, in turn taking away more of your freedom. We don't want to do this, for you guys are the heart of our pack afterall.

Copyright ©
We are glad to see you've taken an interest in our pack. Whether you're a member or not, we advise you to take into consideration how long and how much effort myself and other Clan Leaders have put into making this possible. We don't want our ideas or content stolen from us. In turn we lose originality and whomever may have stolen said idea, isn't original either.
Everything you see, unless stated otherwise, is copyrighted to the Clan Leaders and within the topics; the members of this pack.
If you want to use an idea we have here, just PM Riley asking and he'll likely give you permission. If you where to steal something, we WILL find out and we don't take kindly to thieves. So to avoid trouble, just ask.
Just keep in mind how hard we've worked to make this pack run, and how you'd take to having your hard work stolen. ^^

Pack Information
Pack Motto-
"Through the intricate weavings of color flow our history,
everpresent in the nighttime sky.
Each hue representing what makes us, what in habits our souls.
The vibrant shade of green, strength.
The soft shade of turquoise, knowledge.
And the last, but not least, rosey tinted purple, loyalty.
All interwoven in the shimmering night sky.
We are the Cascading Borealis."

Ranks
Here at Cascading Borealis, we have several 'jobs' you can choose from per say.
We classify the ranks into three categories. They are as follows:

Pack Leaders
The Pack leaders are, most obviously, the leaders of the band of animals that take refuge in the secluded Wood Buffalo National Park. What they say goes. With the rank comes great responsibility. The Pack Leaders aren't just 'Do as I say', they know what is best for the pack, and live by it. They always try to please everyone and do a good job at it. It takes great passion to hold a Pack Leader rank. The person must be dedicated and responsible amongst many other attributes the rank calls for.

Subordinates
The subordinates and the heart of the pack. They make it possible to function. They preform all the different tasks that make the pack run. From hunting, to protecting, to teaching, and everything in between. With such a rank comes responsibility. They are what makes the pack run and without them, the Pack Leaders would have no one to direct and the lesser subordinates wouldn't have an inkling of what to do. The whole place would crumble and perish.

Lesser Subordinates
The lesser subordinates are those who serve little or no function for the pack, such as pups, yearlings, omegas, and elders. They do belong in the pack, just don't have a great purpose. As punishment one can be lowered to a lesser subordinate, or rather as a suspension from the demanding rank they once had, but neglected to do. Lesser Subordinates are to be treated with kindness, not the stereotypical take-out-your-frustration-on-the-poor-omega type thing.

There is also a fourth ranking category, just not for full fledged members.

Acquaintances-
The acquaintances of the pack aren't in fact a part of the pack in retrospect. They are less involved, but important nonetheless. Acquaintances are those such as Pack Friends, Rivals, and Allies.

Within each ranking category is a series of ranks to go along with them.

Pack Leaders
First in Command
First in Command is, as title implies, the first up in the hierarchy of the pack. Their voice is law. The First in Command knows what is best for the clan, and tries their best to fulfill the needs of everyone. They hold the weight of the pack on their shoulders and carry it proudly, glad to have those who choose to join with them on their sides. As of now their is and most likely only will be two First in Commands, but if needed a third can be chosen.

Second in Command
The Second in Commands are those the First in Command will go to first. First in Commands have utter and complete trust in them, and allow them free will to do whatever needs to be done to better ensure the well being of the pack. There can be up to three Second in Commands at one time, all must be trusted in entirety.

Advisor
There is one advisor for the pack, and their sole job is to help think up ideas, enforce the rules, and keep order. They are our medium, keeping peace between members and ranks alike.

Subordinates
Hunter
The hunters provide food for the pack. They must have great stamina in order to hold out long chases, and strength to bring prey down.

Scout
Scouts are the spies of the pack. The look out for danger, and sometimes aid hunters to scout out potential prey. The Scouts must be very stealthy, in order to remain undetected.

Explorer
The explorers of the pack seek out new areas to call home. These canines have a natural curiosity, and love adventure. They grow to learn the territory better than anyone, and can lead us on trips or wherever we need to go.

Protecter
Protecters are the strongest canines of the pack, and are always ready to defend our lives. Whenever there is danger they must be ready to fight tooth and claw, if it comes to that.

Healer
Healers are the brains of the pack. They have extensive knowledge, primarily in the field of herbs and medical remedies. Whenever someone is injured or sick, the healers are expected to try their best to care for the well being of others.

Nanny
The nannies are the most caring individuals of the pack. They love everything living, especially pups. They care for anyone who needs it, from someone recovering to a very old member, to pups when needed.

Lesser Subordinates
Omega
Omega's are not the lowest of the lowest. They are just wolves not suited for any of the demanding ranks. Usually when a yearling becomes old enough they are placed as an omega and 'interns' with each rank until they find the right one for them.

Yearlings
The yearlings are canines who are too old to be considered a pup, but not an adult. They are constantly learning and the need to attention is expected to be lowered as they grow.

Pups
Pups are the youngest and most needy of the pack. They get loads of attention and are the center of the pack.

Elders
Elders are canines who are too old to serve much of a function. They do serve with wisdom and are usually great story tellers.

Acquaintances
Pack Friends
Pack Friends are those who are indecisive. They don't have enough time for the pack, but do wish to be a part if it, which is ok, in due time they will be ready, or not.

Allies
Allies are other packs who wish to join in alliance with our pack, and are most peaceful.

Rivals
Rivals are packs who have a bitter dispute with our pack. The relation isn't good.

Those are the ranks we have to offer, hope you find one to your liking!
